This course contains two parts. Part I: History of Localization Methods for Nonpalpable Breast Lesions and Indications for Needle Localization; and, Part II: Minimally Invasive Needle Breast Biopsy. Simpson; chapters 1-2, pages 1-13 Mammographic Imaging: A Practical Guide, 2nd Edition (chapter 15, pages 331-402) by Valerie F. Andolina, Shelly L. Lille, Kathleen M. (Permission granted by Lippincott Williams &). The course includes the references listed above and a posttest with 60 multiple-choice questions. This course applies to radiologic technologists (RTs) and limited radiographers. The ASRT course approval will expire 12-01-08. After this date, the course will be awarded 5 CE credits by the ASRT.
