The usual retirement age in the U.S. is recognized as being at about 65 years of age; however, due to the current economic crisis, many technologists are finding that they cannot quit working. Others who may have retired are returning to work for financial reasons. Regardless of the reason, many technologists do not want to give up their RT registration status. Senior technologists often find that it is difficult to obtain CE to maintain their radiography credentials.
The X-Ray Lady is offering a CE discount program that provides technologists, age 65 and older, the CE they need to renew their ARRT registration or state licensure. Seniors who are eligible will be able to take 10% off of their total order once a year.
Senior customers who want to participate in the CE discount program will need to send verification of their age to X-Ray Lady staff. Customers may send the verification by fax, email, or snail mail. Once the documentation has been received and verified, the customer will be eligible to order at a discount. A senior customer will only have to send age verification the first time they enroll in the program.
Some facts about age verification
AARP membership is not adequate verification of being age 65 or older since people may join AARP at age 50.
A Medicare card is verification of age 65.
Driver's license with the age of birth is verification of age 65.
Birth certificate.
