This course provides a comprehensive review of
the current guidelines for radiographic image
analysis. After the introduction to guidelines
for image analysis, the course provides a review
of positioning of various anatomic sections and
provides image analysis evaluation of many of
the most common problems related to positioning
and exposure selection. The various anatomic sections
covered include the following:
Chest
Upper Extremity
Shoulder
Lower Extremity
Hip and Pelvis
Cervical and
Thoracic Vertebrae
Sternum and
Ribs
Lumbar Vertebrae,
Sacrum, and Coccyx
Cranium
Digestive System
The course includes a textbook
(Radiographic Image Analysis, 2rd Edition by Kathy
McQuillen Martensen) and a posttest with 125 multiple-choice
questions. This course applies to radiologic technologists
(RTs) and limited radiographers.
