History of breast cancer and breast imaging, patient education and assessment, breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology, benign and malignant breast diseases, mammography equipment, processing and quality management, breast imaging (screen-film, ultrasound, MRI, emerging technologies, and intervention procedures), treatment options, and mammography quality standards act. This course includes a textbook (Mammography & Breast Imaging Just the Facts by Olive Peart) and a posttest with 120 multiple-choice questions. This course applies to radiologic technologists (RTs) and limited radiographers. The ASRT approval expires 12/01/08. After this date, when renewed, the course will be awarded 14 CE credits.
