" How Our Homestudy Courses Work

Completing an X-Ray Lady homestudy course is easy. Each course includes a posttest. The test questions correspond with the reading and can be answered as you read through the text. There is no skipping around so don't worry because you will not have to spend hours trying to find the answer. The test is open book. All test questions conform to the standard multiple choice design required by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). You must obtain a score of 75 % to receive the CE credit. This is a requirement set by the ASRT and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

When you finish the course, return the answer sheet and the course evaluation to us.

Please help us by not faxing your course answer sheet(s) and evaluation forms unless your license/ certification is going to expire within two weeks of the date you complete the course. Faxed copies tend to fade over time and if we are required to produce your answer sheet in an ARRT audit, we like for it to be legible.

Please remember our office fax operates on Eastern Standard Time and the date our fax receives your paperwork will be the date recorded on your course certificate.

We grade answer sheets the day we receive them and prepare a certificate with the date of completion noted. You can expect to receive your original signed certificate with a few days. If you do not receive your certificate within 3-5 business days, please call our office for tracking and confirmation purposes.

Free Retaking of Exams, if Needed

If you score less than 75% on the posttest (which rarely happens), do not worry. We will contact you personally and send you a new answer sheet so you can retake the exam. You may take the posttest up to 3 times, free of charge. Guidelines set by the ARRT will allow you to have no more than 3 attempts to successfully complete the post-test. No CE credit will be awarded if there are three failed attempts.

	The X-Ray Lady Company keeps a detailed database of all customers' records along with hard copy storage for 5 years. In case the ARRT, state, or MQSA audits you, we will be able to produce the documents needed to prove you completed certain CE courses.

" Issuance of Replacement Certificates

We issue only signed and dated certificates for successful completion of our homestudy CE courses. Every request for a replacement certificate requires that staff review our records to verify the successful completion of the course in question. Because of the time required to accurately produce duplicate paperwork, we are now charging a fee of $10 per replacement certificate. This fee only applies to requests that occur 30 days after the issuance date of the original certificate. Remember that you should receive your certificate within 3-5 days after submitting your answer sheet. Please call our office immediately if you do not receive your certificate within this time frame.
