Course Description
This course contains two parts. Part I: History of Localization Methods for Nonpalpable Breast Lesions and Indications for Needle Localization: and Part II: Minimally Invasive Needle Breast Biopsy.

Breast Specimen Radiography Needle Localization and Radiography Pathologic Correclation by Eva Rubin and Jeana F. Simpson; Chapters 1-2 (1-13). Mammographic Imaging: A Practical Guide, 2nd Ed by Valerie F. Andolina and Shelly L. Lille. Chapter 15 (331-402)

This course contains a reading reference and a multiple-choice posttest. This course applies to mammographers, radiologic technologists, and individuals involved in delivering breast-imaging services.

Approved by ASRT for Category A continuing education credit, which meets ARRT renewal requirements. Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMTCB), ultrasonography technologists (ARDMS), radiologic technologists and limited radiographers may also take this course for CE credit. The states of California, Texas, Illinois, Iowa, and Florida accept courses approved by ASRT for CE credit. Kentucky approves the course for 6 CE until 12/31/11 after which it will be approved for 5 CE.
