Radiographers who may have
completed the course titled Chest Pathology and
Imaging Considerations for 10.5 CE may take this
new updated and expanded version.
There are many imaging examinations and modalities
available for the evaluation of thoracic disease
and chest trauma. The decision about which to
use depends upon many factors, the most of which
are the availability of various imaging modalities
and the type of information sought. This course
provides a review of radiographic anatomy and
physiology of the respiratory and cardiovascular
systems, imaging modalities used for evaluation
and image findings of thoracic disease and chest
trauma. The course also provides an overview of
current imaging related interventions and treatments
of thoracic diseases and a discussion about radiation
protection in chest imaging. The major parts of

Credits

education credits, which meets ARRT renewal
requirements and for NMTCB, ARDMS and states
