Imaging Male Breast Cancer provides current information
about imaging breast cancer in Men. The course
is arranged in parts for ease in reading and to
allow time to complete related posttest questions.
Specific parts of this course include a historical
overview of breast cancer, an introduction to
breast cancer, benign and malignant breast disease,
imaging examinations, and radiation protection
in mammography. The course provides information
about BRCA1 and BRCA2 cancer risk and genetic
testing. Imaging modalities are discussed with
indications and contraindications for imaging
breast masses in men. Radiation protection considerations
in breast imaging are a necessary component of
any imaging course and are included. The major
