Course Description:
Chest radiography is one of the most common procedures performed in diagnostic radiology. This course provides a comprehensive update on diagnostic chest imaging for pulmonary and respiratory diseases and conditions. Many of these are covered in the section-titled procedures and includes: thoracentesis and percutaneous pleural biopsy, bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology, chest tubes, pulmonary artery catheter, and mediastinoscopy, thoracoscopy. The pulmonary and respiratory diseases and conditions covered in this course includes: airway disease, infectious diseases, pulmonary vascular diseases, interstitial lung diseases, vasculitis and immunologic disorders, ventilatory disorders, occupational and environmental lung diseases, lung neoplasms, respiratory failure, pleural disorders, diseases of the mediastinum, chest wall, and diaphragm, and special and surgical considerations.
This course includes a textbook titled Pulmonary/Respiratory Therapy Secrets, 2nd edition and a posttest with 120 multiple choice questions.
