Course Description:
This course provides current information about picture archiving and communications systems (PACS). The following additional topics are included in the course: Introduction to Digital Radiography and PACs, Basic Principles, Digital Radiographic Image Acquisition and Processing, PACS, and Quality Control and Quality Management.
This course includes a textbook and a posttest and applies to all radiologic technologists (RTs) and limited radiographers. Many radiographers have asked for a continuing education in digital radiography, computed radiography, and basic digital imaging. This course more than satisfies the need for basic information about digital radiography and PACS. Many state radiation control programs suggest that radiographers complete a basic course before performing radiography examinations using digital imaging equipment. This course satisfies that recommendation.
