The combo special pricing combines two favorite courses for a super discount for radiographers who want to complete all 24 of the required CE credits. Both courses provide a fast, easy review of the fundamentals of imaging the extremities and radiation protection in medical radiography.
The Imaging the Extremities course contains 7 chapters that provide an excellent review of the basics. The chapters cover the following topics: review of the appendicular skeleton, patient care and management, conventional radiography positioning protocols, imaging modalities, general pathology, trauma & injury to the extremities, and radiation protection during imaging the extremities.
The Radiation Protection: The Basics course provides current information and concepts concerning radiation protection in medical imaging. The major topics covered include early and late effects of radiation, designing for radiation protection, occupational radiation dose management, human biology, and patient radiation dose management. |

Course Approvals Each course provides 12 CE. By completing both courses, earn 24 A CE.
Approved by ASRT for Category A (Imaging the Extremities) and A+ (Radiation Protection: The Basics). Completing these courses meets ARRT renewal requirements. NMTCB, and ARDMS. Most state radiation certification agencies accept ASRT approved home study courses as continuing education for the renewal of state licensure/certification. The Radiation Control Operator Certification Offices in Kentucky, Florida and Iowa have also individually approved these courses.
