Course Description
Cardiovascular Imaging Secrets provides current information about the general principles of cardiac catherization, echocardiography, and the use of chest radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Radiation protection principles are included as applicable to the imaging modality. Additional topics include the normal heart, systolic and diastolic function of the ventricles. Imaging and diagnostic procedures are discussed in the following conditions: ischemic heart disease and myocardial ischemia, ischemic heart disease and the coronary arteries, valvular heart disease, pericardial disease, cardiac masses, congenital heart disease, and the aorta and the great vessels. Innovative techniques and the future directions of cardiovascular imaging are presented. This course contains a reference with and a posttest with 120 multiple-choice questions.

Radiation Protection Update (2010-2012) provides the most recent information and concepts concerning radiation protection in medical imaging. This course includes the following topics: Benefit versus Risk, Responsibility for Radiological Procedures, Specific Imaging Procedures, and Radiation Protection Radiation Detection and Monitoring This course contains a reading reference and a posttest with 70 multiple-choice questions.
