Mammography & Older Women (9 A CE) This course explores issues and concerns associated with mammography and older women. Highlights of this course include mammography screening guidelines for women over 65 years of age, aging characteristics of the older woman, and suggestions for providing high quality breast imaging services to this population of women. The final sections of this course include quality improvements in imaging services and radiation protection in mammography. Imaging Male Breast Cancer (6 A CE) This course provides current information about imaging breast cancer in men. The course is arranged in parts for ease in reading and to allow time to complete related posttest questions. Specific parts of this course include a historical overview of breast cancer, an introduction to breast cancer, benign and malignant breast disease, imaging examinations, and radiation protection in mammography. The course provides information about BRCA1 and BRCA2 cancer risk and genetic testing. Imaging modalities are discussed with indications and contraindications for imaging breast masses in men.
